Our Tax Controversy practice involves, but is not limited to, the following:
-Tax Litigation, IRS & State
-Tax Controversies, IRS & State
We take the stress away from dealing with the IRS and represent the client in audits. For business audits, the IRS routinely will conduct the audit from our offices and the client has minimal interaction with the IRS.
We have a high percentage rate of successful offers with the IRS, simply because we will not submit them if we do not believe you can qualify. In Attorney Taylor's time with the IRS District Counsel Office, the office provided final approval of all Offers, therefore, she is very familiar with the process and qualifications.
When the IRS or FTB comes knocking on your door, it can be quite frightening . We take the stress away from dealing with the very aggressive Revenue Officers. The key to success is timely response, completing documentation and developing a plan that the taxing authorities can feel comfortable accepting.
As a trial attorney for the IRS, Attorney Taylor litigated numerous cases defending the IRS's position. Now in her defense practice against the IRS and State, she applies this knowledge to you.
If tax liabilities have not been paid, the taxing authorities will often levy upon funds of the taxpayer and file a tax lien on county records. The levy can be on wages, bank accounts and accounts receivables. The lien will effect your credit and prevent disposal of property. We counsel, advise, and assist clients with coming up with a strategy for release of levy and lien and overall strategy to resolve the issues.
Unfortunately, business clients often get behind in payroll liabilities. When this occurs, the taxing authorities seeks to find the responsible party and assess them personally. We routinely assist clients in coming up with a strategy to resolve delinquent tax liabilities and potential trust fund liabilities.
